White

Tofu soup as a Chinese cuisine, which mixes fine ingredients together, boils a while, then dishes the soup up without solid ingredients, and put pieces of tofu to absorb oil, neat and clean.

This project is named "white", a simple name, both description and definition. “White” is in Zhengzhou, five floors with about 500 ㎡， one of the sample houses of the "East Hope Villa". The design from the start of the building is always with more possibilities than the usual design. There are sunken garden, bridge and corridors, high meeting space, a patio garden and multiple experiences in different forms. These basic elements constitute the dynamic line and depict the innate character of “white”. The relations of wall, furniture, artwork and the involvement of light form a sense of language about empty. "White”, is the real dialogue among the space.

White spaces are used to emphasize the innate character of the house, and separate from the situation shaping technique. Building facade selects the dark gray stone, creates an atmosphere of round space, and advocates the life style in future, premise trying to point to a more spiritual significance of China and the East.

The screen leads a colorful space, the abstract lotus leaves and the patterns of lotus petiole are not only for the beautiful function but also take into account the cultural attributes. Brightly colored artworks highlight the design，show the connotation and self-culture of the space. Appliances in the pottery, wood carving and stone correspond to the traditional aesthetic. Space in the empty, empty in a trace of silence, silence is not stagnant and the internal jump. The overall space pursues light rather than bright, light is a sense of courage and spirit. Everyone in it can find a fit point with this space in different state of life or emotions.
