Within the rational, technology-driven environment of DJI Sky City, we created a warm and welcoming place—the Visitor Center and the “DJI Shop.” This is not only where the journey begins, but also where perception deepens. With a quiet sense of openness and humility, the space transforms the brand’s precision and technological rigor into something tangible and welcoming—like a poem one can step into and feel.

The experience begins even before entering the building. A transparent glass curtain wall blends interior and exterior into one continuous scene. The intricate forms of the drones stand in quiet dialogue with their reflections on the water’s surface. In this interplay of solidity and reflection, technology and nature, order and poetry, find harmony before a single step is taken inside.

The spatial rhythm reflects a distinctly Eastern sensibility. Within the cool clarity of glass and steel, moments of warmth emerge subtly. The entrance corridor offers a brief, gentle pause before the main hall unfolds. Above, an art installation inspired by the form of kites floats effortlessly, evoking humanity’s timeless fascination with flight. This point serves as both a physical and emotional transition—turn left into the immersive world of innovation and products; turn right toward a quieter place for rest and contemplation.

The “DJI Shop” is conceived as a carefully composed gallery of technology. At its center, a display platform becomes a stage, where DJI’s groundbreaking drones are presented with clarity and focus. Along the walls, displays unfold like pages of a book, showcasing products and brand objects in a clear and structured way. The display system draws inspiration from traditional Eastern mortise-and-tenon craftsmanship, reimagined through a modern modular approach, allowing the space to evolve alongside the products over time. The tall volume and soft, even lighting create an atmosphere that is calm, focused, and inviting—making advanced technology feel accessible and human.

In the lounge area, the atmosphere becomes slower and quieter. Soft, diffused lighting creates a gentle glow, while continuous surfaces provide a sense of calm enclosure. A small reading corner is integrated here, envisioned as a “city windowsill”—a place where visitors can pause, talk, read, or simply watch the shifting light and clouds outside.

Materiality plays an essential role in shaping the emotional tone of the space. Warm wood forms the foundation of the palette, complemented by grey terrazzo flooring that connects visually with the architecture, and softly textured wall finishes that invite touch. These natural materials balance the precision of advanced technology, adding warmth and expressing a deeper sense of human care.

Ultimately, the space is designed to be more than a place of display. It is a place to experience the spirit of the brand, to inspire curiosity, and to discover moments of warmth within a world defined by precision. Here, technology and humanity exist in balance, creating a meaningful and memorable encounter with DJI Sky City.
