The concept of“Between”describes a mediated space as an aftermath of interrelation, capable of fabricating the re-expression of the two-dimension. Permeable to light, the intensity of interpenetration of individual threads and the serenity of the resting as a whole both speak to a kind of structure, a revelation of layering under the cultural lens: complex while united, diverse while co-existing. The condition of co-existence and the promotion of original techniques are due to our respect to the traditional craftsmanship and our homage to Mother Nature. We discover the temperature of natural materials and utilize the age-old textile techniques of weaving and dyeing to orchestrate a contemporary aesthetic.

Piet Cornelies Mondrian extracted a general order and an asymmetrical balance from an abstract outlook of nature, which is effectively brought into conversation with the Chinese Shanshui painting, “Lu Shan Gao”, by Shen Zhou from Ming Dynasty despite their spatial and temporal separation. This order and balance is precisely what we pursue in the relationship between Man and Nature.

Abaca, plant of the family Musaceae and local to the Southeastern Asia, is traditionally used to make cables for boats for the strength of its fibers. We extract these fibers, then process them through delicately dying, weaving and gold hot-stamping before stretching them out to re-constitute the beauty of strength and resilience in the form of wallpaper.
